The Very Hungry Catterpillar 

On a leaf there is a tiny egg and a hungry catterpillar gets out of it . On Monday he eats an apple. On Tuesday he eats two pears . On Wednesday he has three plums and the next day he eats four strawberries. The caterpillar is still hungry . On Fridays he has five oranges . Unfortunately the caterpillar is still hungry ! As a result on Saturday he eats one piece of chocolate cake , an ice- cream cone , a pickle, a piece of cherry pie , a slice of cheese, a slice of salami , a lollipop, one slice of sausage , a cupcake , a slice of watermelon. In the end he has a stomachache . The next day the caterpillar eats one green leaf and ...ready! 

On Sunday he builds a cocoon around himself and stays inside for two weeks . When he gets out of it he is a beautiful butterfly !
